This bug only applies to SafeAssignments that were copied from an older course into Spring 2009 courses. If you created all new SafeAssignments in your Spring 2009 course, this does not apply to you.
We’ve just been made aware of a significant bug in SafeAssignments that have been copied from an older class into Spring 2009.
If your Spring 2009 students click on the View/Complete link underneath the SafeAssignment:
They will not be able to complete the SafeAssignment. Instead, they will be redirected to the Blackboard homepage. This is because the SafeAssignments are not being copied properly into your Spring 2009 course. They’re instead creating another link to your older course which your current students can’t access.
To bypass this issue:
Delete all SafeAssignments that were copied from an older course and create new ones.
Blackboard has been made aware of this issue and we will let you know when it’s been resolved.
